diageo single malt whisky

Task

Diageo have a rich portfolio of single malt whisky brands with a cult-like following - but that needed to be translated into an effective always-on social strategy.

Insight

People have always bought drinks in the spur of the moment but today smartphones are shaping the path to purchase and disrupting it in new ways, creating the perfect opportunity to introduce this community of fanatical whisky fans to the brilliant, yet relatively unknown purposes of these drams.

What we did

Inspire whisky fans not to rush out a buy a new bottle, afterall, it's already sat in their drinks cabinet. Instead, urge them to reach into their own drinks cabinet and pull out a Diageo whisky in the moment.

Results

As the production process was given a bit more time, space and dedication production values went up, resulting in truly thumb stopping assets that showed product in the best light. Reach was up 24% on average and fans became even more fanatical about the finer points of a perfectly poured dram.
